Original site of Hopkin's Rose Garden

The Rose Garden has a firepit with camp fire wood provided for guests to enjoy. There is a walking path that runs around through the woodland garden to see many of the local wildflowers interspersed with ferns and hastas.

Historic Hopkin's House

This is Mother's old wash room. The clock now covers the place where the door used to open into the kitchen ans here is where the stairs come down. This makes a hall opening into the living room and also the sun porch where the narrow old back porch was. This wall is very jigh colored. The scenes are from along the Amazon showing tropical plants and birds in their natural colors. The furniture is old maple. The light fixture here is made out of the bottoms of old champaigne bottles hand bound with black metal.
